With over 30 years of professional experience in highways and transport planning, Peter brings a wealth of expertise to complex development and infrastructure projects. His career has spanned a broad range of sectors, including healthcare, education, residential, energy, and commercial developments across the South West and beyond.

Peter is a Chartered Engineer and has provided strategic transport advice from early feasibility through to detailed design and delivery on site. His portfolio includes major schemes such as Bristol Children’s Hospital and Heart Institute, large-scale residential developments, quarry extensions, renewable energy projects, and one of the UK’s largest inland marinas.

A respected expert in the field, Peter has presented evidence at numerous Public Inquiries, Informal Hearings and Appeals, including the year-long Mid Wales Conjoined Windfarm Inquiry - Wales’ longest-running public inquiry. His ability to communicate technical detail clearly and credibly has made him a trusted advisor in high-profile and contentious planning cases.

Peter is actively involved in the profession, serving on the Industry Advisory Board for Civil Engineering at the University of the West of England and acting as a Professional Exam Reviewer for the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT). He is also a former Chair and Secretary of CIHT’s South West Branch.

In November 2025, as part of PJA’s acquisition of KTC, Peter joined PJA as a sub-consultant to ensure a smooth transition and continuity for clients.

Outside work, Peter was delighted to be elected as a Vice-President of Clifton Ladies Hockey Club after assisting with coaching of the junior teams over a 10-year period. He also continues to play league hockey when his muscles allow!
