Peter has over 30 years post-graduate experience, has worked in Bristol and the southwest of England since 1987, and joined KTC in January 2006. A Chartered Engineer since 1990, Peter’s experience covers all aspects of highways and transport advice, assessment and design, and he has seen many projects through from inception to completion on site. Schemes include the Bristol Children’s Hospital and Heart Institute, medical centres, numerous residential developments, extensions to Whatley and Torr super quarries in Somerset’s Mendip Hills, Wind and Solar Farms, one of the largest inland marinas in the UK, new build and extensions to schools, and numerous offices, including the Global HQ for Imperial Tobacco.
Peter has presented evidence at a number of Public Inquiries, Informal Hearings and an Enforcement Appeal for major residential, employment, retail and energy developments, including the year-long Mid Wales Conjoined Windfarm Inquiry, Wales’ longest running Public Inquiry.
Peter is a member of the Industry Advisory Board for Civil Engineering at University of West of England, and Professional Exam Reviewer for the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, also having been a former SW Branch Chairman and Secretary.
Outside work, Peter was delighted to be elected as a Vice-President of Clifton Ladies Hockey Club after assisting with coaching of the junior teams over a 10 year period. He also continues to play league hockey when his muscles allow!
