Construction works on Phase 1 of the Barby Pools Marina are now well underway.
KTC was very pleased to be appointed by J Marine Ltd to join its team preparing a planning application for a new marina located adjacent to the Oxford Canal near the village of Barby in Warwickshire. The proposed development is to create a marina set in parkland with a number of natural habitats. It will provide 550 leisure moorings in three basins and a central pool together with essential support facilities, including a marina centre (including a small shop and 30 seat café), an 80 seat restaurant, amenity buildings and a boatyard. KTC’s Transport Assessment and transport section of the Environmental Statement formed part of the successful planning application, and subsequently, KTC advised on the footpath diversion orders necessary to deliver the scheme.
