Peter Mansell continues his success in planning appeals by helping to remove a condition placed on the use of two holiday lets in Klive, which lies within the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Somerset.
Peter worked with Stephen Pasterfield of Clarke Willmott to produce a joint statement for the Written Representations Planning Appeal.
West Somerset Council had imposed a condition on the use of the holiday lets which meant that they could only be used in conjunction with a neighbouring dwelling in order to minimise traffic flows on a lane serving the properties. The condition was imposed in response to local residents’ and Somerset County Council concerns about potential traffic impact.
The Inspector decided that the condition was vague and imprecise, and that the intention that the condition would limit car journeys could not be secured.
The successful appeal outcome was subsequently reported in December’s Planning Journal, a copy of which can be seen here.
Details of Peters’ other successes can be found here.
