Acting for Hopkins Developments KTC provided transport advice on a new concrete batching plant on the outskirts of Wincanton which received planning permission in December 2016.
A previous scheme for the site included significant offsite highway works comprising enlarging an existing roundabout on the A371 at the access to the site. Those offsite works had been agreed with the highway authority, Somerset County Council. As part of the new planning application proposals KTC was able to develop a scheme of minor improvements to the roundabout avoiding the need to enlarge it and providing a significant cost saving to the client.
