Approval for Land East of Kingston Bagpuize

KTC was delighted that on the 14th February 2023, the Vale of White Horse Planning Committee resolved unanimously to grant planning permission for development at Land East of Kingston Bagpuize, subject to a S106 agreement. Acting for Lioncourt Strategic, KTC has been providing transport advice on this exciting project since 2015, initially advising on Local Plan representations where a site allocation was successfully obtained.

The development comprises 660 homes, 70 bed extra care facility, a new primary school, local centre, sports and leisure facilities and a new link road between the A420 and A415 which will become part of the A415. The new Link Road includes new roundabout junctions on the A420 and A415 and will draw traffic away from the centre of Kingston Bagpuize. Other transport improvements include segregated cycle routes adjacent to the proposed Link Road, diversion of the S6 bus service along the Link Road, a significant improvement of the A415/A338 traffic signal controlled junction at Frilford, improvements at the A415/A34 Marcham Interchange and traffic calming and a zebra crossing within Kingston Bagpuize. The milestone has been reached through a great team effort with the client and consultant team but also within KTC.
