We were very pleased to learn that the Bristol City Council Planning Committee resolved to grant planning permission for the York Gate residential development last month. Acting for Donard (Bristol) Limited, KTC has been providing transport advice on the project for 221 affordable homes since the middle of last year. York Gate is a brownfield development within the Mead Street Development Area between Bedminster and Temple Meads. Mead Street is identified within the Mead Street Development Brief as “one of the most significant and sustainable regeneration opportunities for our growing city right now.” Located close to the city centre and Temple Meads train station the site benefits from excellent connectivity and will provide much needed affordable homes for the city.
